"American College of Dentists / Charter of / Philadelphia / Section / To all to whom these presents shall come, greetings: / WHEREAS, members of the American College of Dentists have petitioned to the board of / Regents to be accreditied as the Philadelphia Section of the / College, and have adopted, and filed with the Secretary of the College, By-laws for the government / of the Section, in harmony with the principles of the Constitution and By-laws of the College, as / determined by the Board of Regents, and / WHEREAS, the Board of Regents have decided that the / Philadelphia Section, as organized, will support and promote locally / the aims, purposes, functions and ideals of the College, / NOW THEREFORE, I, Otto W. Brandhorst Secretary of / the American College of Dentists, by virtue of the powers and duties vested in me by the College, / do hereby certify that the Philadelphia Section of the American College of Dentists has been duly organized and is hereby duly accredited and shartered / as the Philadlphia Section of the American / College of Dentisits in accordance with the Constitution and By-laws of the College. / IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I hereto set my hand, and cause to be affixed the Seal of / the American College of Dentists, a St. Louis in the State of / Missiuri this tenth day of September, A.D. 1948 / Certificate Number / 23"
